On the 6th, Superintendent Lim attended the '2023 National Education Directors Association Winter Workshop' held in Jeju Island and gave a special lecture titled 'The Direction of Gyeonggi Future Education.' He stated, "Gyeonggi education is promoting future education based on autonomy, balance, and future orientation. Our most important goal is to support schools, which are the core of education, to stay true to the essence of education." He added, "Education support offices will cooperate with local governments and utilize regional physical and human resources to actively assist schools as a 'regional education cooperation platform.'"
He particularly noted, "Education support offices should support schools to interact with local communities and engage in various educational activities, and collaborate with related local institutions, businesses, and local governments to alleviate the burdens schools face."
Furthermore, he said, "Now is the time for regionally tailored education, and regional education directors should prepare to support on-site educational activities as much as possible." He proposed, "Let us share well-practiced and meaningful education from each city and province and work together for the future of education in the Republic of Korea."

This workshop was the first in-person training held in three years since 2020. A total of 176 education directors from education support offices nationwide gathered to discuss educational issues and explore the direction of future education.
