Imsil-gun Selected as 'Excellent Local Government' in Workforce Reallocation Evaluation

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, was selected as an excellent local government in the manpower reallocation evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a special grant of 150 million KRW as an incentive.

According to the county on the 6th, manpower reallocation means reallocating existing personnel by reducing the current workforce without increasing the quota when new administrative demands arise.

The special grant incentive for manpower reallocation by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety targeted local governments with a reallocation performance of over 1% in 2021, with a total of 51 local governments selected, including Imsil-gun.

The county was evaluated as having been recognized for efforts in efficient personnel management, such as reducing personnel in declining and shrinking sectors and consolidating similar and overlapping functions to respond flexibly to changes in administrative conditions.

The county is not satisfied with this and continues efforts to improve organizational structure for efficient personnel management that meets the expectations of residents.

As part of this, at the end of last year, it undertook organizational restructuring aimed at improving the organizational structure based on innovation, performance, and efficiency.

As the first organizational restructuring of the 8th elected administration, to become a performance-oriented 'work-efficient organization,' overlapping teams were abolished and a facility business office was newly established to enhance organizational efficiency.

The county plans to stabilize as an organization that achieves visible results by placing personnel appropriately to successfully promote the 8th elected administration’s pledged projects.

County Governor Shim Min said, “We will continue to strengthen the internal soundness of the administrative organization and flexible personnel management through functional manpower reallocation,” adding, “In the new year of the Year of the Rabbit, we will do our best to carry out not only the pledged projects promised to residents for the future development of the county but also current projects to improve residents’ welfare.”
