Yeosu-si Launches 2023 Senior Job Support Project
Providing Senior Job Opportunities to a Record 9,231 Elderly People
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] Jeonnam Yeosu City (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that on the 5th, it held the '2023 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project' integrated launch ceremony at Yeosu Culture Hall.
At the launch ceremony, about 250 seniors selected as job candidates from nine implementing organizations, including each eup, myeon, dong, and the Yeosu Senior Club, a senior job project support institution, attended.
The launch ceremony proceeded with the reading of a resolution pledging active participation in the senior job and social activity support project, followed by safety education and basic education conducted by a professional instructor.
Yeosu City will invest about 24 billion won, the largest amount ever, this year to provide jobs to a total of 9,231 seniors. This is the largest budget and project volume in Jeonnam.
Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong emphasized, "Jobs are important, but above all, safety is the most important," and said, "I hope that through the senior job project, seniors will lead a vibrant and healthy old age."
