Gochang-gun Conducts Special Crackdown on Illegal Outdoor Advertisements
[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] On the 6th, Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced that it will conduct a special crackdown to eradicate illegal advertisements on the streets.
Recently, in the towns and townships of Gochang, the urban environment has been damaged and street trees have suffered due to unauthorized postings by external advertising companies, such as illegal advertisements, solar power sales, and car installment plans.
The county will conduct a special crackdown on 'illegal banners' hung in places other than designated posting boards, illegal standing signs, air lights, flyers, and other 'mobile advertisements' that threaten pedestrian passage and safety.
In particular, every second and fourth Friday of the month has been designated as the 'Illegal Advertisement Comprehensive Maintenance Day,' during which major arterial roads, downtown areas, and residential neighborhoods will be frequently patrolled, and all banners not using designated posting boards will be guided and cracked down on.
A county official said, "For the safety of local residents, we hope that advertisers and related companies will install advertisements legally and must use designated posting boards," adding, "We will continue to strive to create a beautiful urban landscape and a pleasant living environment."
