Yeonggwang-gun Accepts Applications for 'Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project' Until the 3rd of Next Month

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it is accepting applications for the 2023 Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project until the 3rd of next month to spread and promote agricultural technology.

The Agricultural Technology Dissemination Pilot Project will be implemented with a budget of 3.1765 billion KRW, targeting 3 sectors, 38 projects, and 106 locations.

This project aims to establish a foundation by early dissemination of new technologies developed by rural development institutions to farmers and to foster regionally specialized crops.

Additionally, pilot projects will be applied for and conducted in areas such as labor-saving sparse transplanting cultivation complexes, early dissemination and production complex development of functional rice oat varieties, mass propagation technology for strawberry cuttings, customized future strategic income crop cultivation, and new variety development of Lycoris radiata.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the agricultural counseling offices in towns and townships or the Agricultural Technology Center by the 3rd of next month.

Eligibility requires farmers whose registered address is in the county and who are suitable for the purpose of each pilot project and have a high capacity to adopt new technologies.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, “We will do our best to develop prosperous agricultural and fishing villages by disseminating digital technologies responding to changes in the agricultural environment and field-customized pilot projects that farmers can experience.”
