Gyeonggi-do Selects 27 Suppliers for Hometown Love Donation Program... 79 Types of 14 Items as Return Gifts
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi-do announced on the 5th the selection of return gifts and suppliers for the 'Hometown Love Donation System.'
The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate to local governments other than their place of residence, and the local governments use the donation funds to create a hometown love fund to improve residents' welfare by supporting vulnerable groups and youth. Through the online Hometown Love e-um site (ilovegohyang.go.kr), donors can complete everything from donation payment to selecting return gifts in a one-stop process. For residents with low online accessibility, donations can also be made at nationwide NongHyup branches.
Individuals can donate up to 5 million KRW annually. Within 30% of the donation amount, donors can receive return gifts such as local specialties. Additionally, donations of 100,000 KRW or less are fully tax-deductible. For the excess amount, a 16.5% deduction is available.
On the 4th, Gyeonggi-do held the Gyeonggi-do Return Gift Selection Committee and announced on the 5th that it had finally selected 27 suppliers for 79 types of return gifts across 14 categories, including rice, beef, and pork.
Although the principle was to select one supplier per item, the committee explained that multiple suppliers were selected for seven items such as rice, honey, and traditional liquor to broaden donors' choices during the discussion process.
With the selection of return gift suppliers completed, the province plans to immediately sign agreements with the suppliers, register them in the system, and provide return gifts to donors.
Furthermore, to maintain the quality of return gifts and improve donor satisfaction, regular supplier training will be held, and quality management will be conducted in distribution, promotion, and delivery.
The selection committee additionally discovered the 'Gyeonggi-do Shooting Theme Park Usage Service' and selected it as a return gift.
The Gyeonggi-do Shooting Theme Park is a shooting experience facility entrusted and operated by Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Corporation (GH), where visitors can experience clay shooting, leisure shooting, and survival shooting. Located in Hwaseong, it has recently become a unique experience spot near Seoul.
Additionally, the Gyeonggi-do Chakchakchak Shopping Mall coupons, selected as return gifts during the first meeting, were registered in the 'Hometown Love e-um System' without supplier selection.
