Golfzon Donates 100 Million KRW to Support Meal Kits for Underprivileged Children
Adding Donations from Paldo Festival Season 2 Participants
Providing Weekly 4-Person Portions Through the First Half of the Year
Golfzon announced on the 5th that it will operate a 'Meal Kit Support Project for Vulnerable Children' worth approximately 100 million KRW in the first half of this year in collaboration with Good Neighbors Seoul Southern Branch, a global NGO specializing in children's rights.
This project was funded by voluntary donations from Golfzon members who participated in the Paldo Festival Season 2, which ended in December last year. About 2 million KRW from Paldo Festival member donations and 100 million KRW from Golfzon donations were combined to raise a total of approximately 102 million KRW.
The meal kit support will be provided until the first half of the year, before summer when there is a risk of food poisoning. Golfzon stated, "The meal kits are planned as special meals to prevent hunger during weekends when school meals are not provided, aiming to resolve nutritional imbalances and promote healthy physical development for vulnerable children." A total of about 20,000 meal kits will be prepared and delivered weekly in portions for four people to each eligible child.
