Sacheon-si Conducts Hygiene Inspections and Sample Testing for Food Manufacturing and Sales Businesses
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct hygiene inspections and sample tests on manufacturers and sellers of seasonal food products, as well as on sales outlets such as online stores, large supermarkets, and traditional markets, until the 16th in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.
The main inspection items include ▲whether manufacturing or selling is done without notification ▲use or sale of products past their consumption (distribution) expiration date ▲compliance with hygienic handling standards ▲appropriateness of self-quality inspections.
In addition, the city will simultaneously collect and test high-consumption distributed foods for the Lunar New Year (processed foods, seafood) for standards and specifications.
The city will provide administrative guidance with on-site corrective measures for minor violations found during inspections, and take administrative actions for serious violations or intentional and habitual offenses.
