Gwangju Dong-gu, First Organizational Restructuring of the 8th Elected Term... Establishment of Integrated Care Department
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, has carried out its first organizational restructuring in the 8th term of the elected administration, focusing on "a neighborhood village with neighbors, a warm and happy Dong-gu."
On the 4th, Dong-gu announced that it conducted the organizational restructuring to successfully promote 48 key projects across six major areas.
Specifically, ▲ Changes in the value of life (a humanities city that respects the value of people) ▲ Changes in the urban environment (a resident-centered city convenient for daily life) ▲ Changes in village autonomy (a city with affection through the restoration of village communities) are being pursued, with an emphasis on establishing an efficient and productive organizational system through integration of similar tasks and adjustment of office functions rather than expanding the scale.
The main content includes the establishment of the ‘Integrated Care Division’ to build a seamless community integrated care service network throughout the entire life cycle, providing a flawless one-stop service from discovering households in need of care to service linkage, provision, and follow-up management.
In particular, the hometown love donation system, which will be implemented for the first time from January this year, will be transferred to the Planning and Budget Office to focus on early establishment of the system through active donor discovery and policy project development.
Additionally, the ‘Serious Accident Prevention Task Force’ has been incorporated into the permanent organization to strengthen activities for preventing citizen and industrial accidents. Along with cultural tourism revitalization projects to build a ‘stay-type cultural tourism city’ and the selection as the 9th chairman city of the Korea Healthy Cities Association, Dong-gu plans to effectively operate current tasks to realize a sustainable healthy city by reflecting ‘health in all policies.’
