It aims to reduce energy consumption in the household sector, which accounts for 21% of total greenhouse gas emissions, and to spread a carbon-neutral lifestyle culture among residents.
Jeil Construction’s Sumokwon Jeil Punggyeongchae received high evaluations for recycling rainwater discarded into trees and ponds, operating an Anabada Market on the first Saturday of every month, and promoting LED lighting replacement activities in each household.
The city reported that through carbon-neutral practice campaigns, 13 local apartments participating in the competition reduced 47 tons of greenhouse gases. The city explained that this amount is equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 3.8 hectares of 30-year-old pine trees.
