"Possibility of Metallic Foreign Substance Contamination" Binggrae Voluntarily Recalls 'Gracia Ku&Ku'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Binggrae has initiated a voluntary recall of certain ice cream products produced at its Namyangju factory after the possibility of metallic foreign substances being mixed in was confirmed.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, Binggrae decided to voluntarily recall and refund its ice cream product 'Binggrae Gracia Cookies & Cream 750ml (cup)'.
According to a notice on Binggrae's website, the ice cream was produced at the Namyangju factory in Gyeonggi Province. Although the product was shipped after undergoing quality stability inspections in accordance with the Livestock Products Sanitation Control Act, an internal process inspection revealed the possibility of metallic foreign substances in some products. Consequently, Binggrae voluntarily recalled the shipped products and exchanged or refunded the products purchased by consumers.
