Korea Forest Welfare Institute to Accept Applications for 'Forest Welfare Service Vouchers' Starting January Next Year
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 30th that it will accept applications for the 'Forest Welfare Service Voucher (hereinafter referred to as the voucher)' from January 2 to 31 next year.
The project provides vouchers worth 100,000 KRW to vulnerable groups under the 'Forest Welfare Promotion Act' to enable them to receive forest welfare services.
Next year's vouchers will be provided to 60,000 people, an increase of 10,000 from this year.
Eligible applicants include ▲ recipients of disability pensions ▲ recipients of disability allowances ▲ recipients of child disability allowances ▲ basic livelihood security recipients ▲ and low-income groups.
Applications can be made through the Forest Welfare Service Voucher website or the customer support center.
The vouchers can be used until November 30 next year at 261 facilities registered as providers of forest welfare services, such as natural recreation forests and arboretums, to pay for accommodation fees, admission fees, program experience fees, and other costs.

Nam Tae-heon, Director of the Forest Welfare Institute, said, “We hope that socially and economically marginalized neighbors will find joy and small daily happiness in the forest through the vouchers,” adding, “The Forest Welfare Institute will continue to actively promote forest welfare service projects for vulnerable groups.”
