Gwangju Police Training Center Settles into New Nest, Implements Advanced Education Programs

The opening ceremony was attended by Im Yong-hwan, Chief of the Gwangju Police Agency, the agency's leadership, 50 police officers, and the president of the Police Association, creating a celebratory event with expectations for the center to play a pivotal role in advanced education.
Chief Im stated, "We will make 2023 the inaugural year of a major reform in police education, and the Gwangju Police Education Center will cultivate top experts in various police functions to provide higher-quality security services to citizens."

The Education Center began in February 2013 as the Gwangju Regional School with only one lecture room on the 9th floor of the Gwangju Police Agency building. It has now relocated to a building next to the Nambu Police Station, expanding its facilities to include two lecture rooms, two remote lecture rooms, and two group discussion rooms for enhanced operations.
