Operating robot coffee service and photo opportunities at Seomjingang Train Village

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cha Jong-sun] Jeonnam Gokseong-gun (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it will introduce various unmanned kiosks without COVID-19 concerns at Seomjingang Train Village.

Gokseong Seomjingang Train Village installed unmanned kiosks such as a robot barista and a magic photo studio so that tourists can enjoy the train village in a pleasant environment. They operate daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At the Train Village Ecology Learning Center, the ‘Robot Barista’ serves fragrant coffee. It was installed after being selected for the service robot utilization demonstration project hosted by the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement.

The robot barista is a 6-axis single-joint fully automatic robot coffee machine equipped with fine sensors. It sells not only coffee with the best taste made with precise amounts and techniques but also various menus such as juice and ice cream.

At Magic Land, a ‘Magic Photo Studio’ is installed. It is an unmanned photo synthesis kiosk where visitors can take pictures with famous spots of Seomjingang Train Village as backgrounds. It was produced with virus-free project funds hosted by Jeollanam-do.

At the Magic Photo Studio, visitors can choose various backgrounds such as roses, steam locomotives, and the (old) Gokseong Station to take photos. The taken photos can be edited by resizing the person, changing the position, adding stamps and notes, and then printed. The completed photos can be sent via KakaoTalk for keeping.

A county official said, “We have prepared various unmanned kiosks that respond to the COVID-19 era. We will do our best so that tourists visiting Seomjingang Train Village can enjoy it in a pleasant environment.”
