DA Technology Signs 24.1 Billion KRW Secondary Battery Equipment Supply Contract with European Battery Manufacturer
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] DA Technology announced on the 28th that it has signed a contract to supply secondary battery assembly process manufacturing equipment worth 24.1 billion KRW to a European battery manufacturer.
DA Technology will produce and deliver secondary battery assembly process equipment from this month until December 2024, the contract period. This equipment follows an initial development equipment order worth 3.4 billion KRW secured last October, and through this contract, large-scale equipment supply for mass production is expected. The contracting party has not been disclosed due to a request for trade secret protection.
Although the company has a history of delivering battery manufacturing equipment to customer factories in Europe, this order is significant as DA Technology's first European export through independent sales. The company plans to actively expand its presence in the European market starting with this supply contract.
Last month, DA Technology secured an order worth 11.8 billion KRW for laser patterning equipment from a US-based secondary battery manufacturer, and this month, it signed a 12.6 billion KRW supply contract for cylindrical battery equipment. On the 23rd, it also announced through a public disclosure that it signed a 46.7 billion KRW stacking equipment supply contract with LG Electronics.
