Rotok, Annual Visitors Surpass 23 Million... Advertising Revenue Doubles
Law&Company Announces 2022 Performance
Cumulative 830,000 Legal Consultations
34 Billion KRW Support for Underprivileged Groups This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The legal service platform 'Lotoc' surpassed 23 million visitors this year. Online advertising revenue doubled compared to the same period last year, showing a clear growth trend.
Ro&Company, which operates Lotoc, announced the achievements made throughout this year on the 27th. Lotoc was launched in 2014 to help lawyers and clients communicate freely and conveniently use legal services.
In 2022, Lotoc's user metrics rose significantly. The number of visitors to Lotoc reached approximately 23 million, the highest since the service was launched. Online advertising revenue in the second half of this year increased by 1.96 times compared to the same period last year, showing growth. Lotoc does not charge separate fees within the service and generates revenue only through advertising fees selectively conducted by advertiser lawyers.
A Ro&Company official analyzed, "In the first half of this year, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding, we temporarily ran a promotion offering free lawyer advertising services," adding, "The sharp increase in revenue in the second half can also be seen as a result of the promotion."
As the number of service visitors increased, the number of legal consultations conducted on the platform also rose. Over the past three years, consultations have increased at an average annual rate of 9.8%, surpassing a cumulative total of 830,000 as of this month.
Lotoc also functions as a legal content archive. Over the past three years, a total of 162,000 new legal content pieces have been created on Lotoc. This figure includes client consultation cases, lawyers' resolution cases, and legal guides combined. Legal content produced was 46,000 in 2020, 55,000 last year, and 61,000 this year, steadily increasing and accumulating. Through this, users can easily find similar cases and solution tips by simply searching when facing legal issues.
The amount Lotoc has supported to activate clients' use of legal services was 1.32 billion KRW in 2020, 2.9 billion KRW last year, and 3.44 billion KRW this year, increasing at an average annual rate of 61.6%. This year, 15-minute phone consultation coupons were provided to citizens affected by natural disasters such as floods and typhoons. Additionally, through partnerships with companies like Saramin and KT, support for small business owners and legally marginalized groups was promoted, expanding social contribution activities.
