National Pension Service Appoints Former Government Employees Pension CIO Seowonju as New Fund Director
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] The National Pension Service appointed candidate Seo Wonju as the new Fund Director (Head of Fund Management Headquarters·CIO) on the 27th.
The new Fund Director is appointed by the Chairman of the Service after the recommendation of the National Pension Service Fund Director Recommendation Committee and the approval of the Ministry of Health and Welfare Minister for the performance contract.
The term of the Fund Director is two years, and they will manage the National Pension Fund representing the Fund Management Headquarters of the National Pension Service.

New Fund Director Seo Wonju, born in 1965, accumulated diverse asset management and investment experience at Samsung Life Insurance, then served as Head of Asset Management Headquarters at PCA Life Insurance (currently Mirae Asset Life), and later as Head of Fund Management at the Government Employees Pension Service (CIO).
