Nongshim Launches ‘Shin Ramyun Zepeto Large Bowl’ Three Times Spicier Than Shin Ramyun
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seohee] Nongshim announced on the 26th that it will release a limited edition 'Shin Ramyun Zepeto Big Bowl,' which is three times spicier than the existing Shin Ramyun Big Bowl.
The newly released product applies the most popular combination among consumers on the metaverse platform 'Zepeto.' In October, Nongshim opened a 'Shin Ramyun Snack Bar' within Zepeto and held the 'World's Best Ramen Cooking Contest' event, where consumers helped decide the concept of the new product. Participants in the event cooked and compared Shin Ramyun customized to their preferences in virtual space, adjusting the spiciness level, noodle chewiness, and the type and amount of dried soup ingredients.
The Shin Ramyun Zepeto Big Bowl has a Scoville Heat Unit of 6000 SHU, making it three times spicier than the existing Shin Ramyun Big Bowl. Additionally, the amount of dried soup ingredients has nearly doubled (2.5g → 4.9g) by adding generous amounts of meat and egg pieces.
