[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] The fire on the tracks at Muakjae Station on Line 3 was fully extinguished at around 7:54 a.m., about 1 hour and 30 minutes after the fire broke out. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
On the 23rd, the Seodaemun Fire Station in Seoul received a report of a "fire at Muakjae Station on Line 3" at around 6:24 a.m. and dispatched 17 fire trucks and 69 personnel urgently. Due to the fire, train operations in both directions between Yaksu Station and Gupabal Station on Subway Line 3 were temporarily suspended. The fire caused the loss of approximately 4 meters of track cables.
According to the fire authorities, the fire is believed to have initially started from the coaxial cable on the track floor.
