View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS Retail announced on the 23rd that it will deliver 600 blankets to underprivileged groups nationwide in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross by the end of this month.
GS Retail officially launched the sharing relay starting from Sujeong Village in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu. CEO Huh Yeon-soo and GS Retail employees personally visited households of underprivileged groups such as elderly living alone to deliver blankets, and also carried out various volunteer activities including tidying up homes and village halls and cleaning the environment throughout the village.
GS Retail has been continuously donating goods to Happy Sharing, which supports the self-reliance of underprivileged groups domestically and internationally, and it is expected that cumulative donations of goods worth more than 130 million KRW will be made by the end of this year.

A GS Retail official said, "This relay blanket donation activity was prepared to help local underprivileged groups struggling in the cold wave," adding, "We plan to focus on expanding support that provides practical help to underprivileged groups and activities that promote healthy self-reliance."
