Jinju City Secures 2.605 Billion KRW from Gyeongnam Province's 5th Special Adjustment Grant
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 23rd that it secured 2.605 billion KRW in 23 cases of the 5th special adjustment grants from Gyeongsangnam-do to promote pending projects.
With this, the city secured a total of 7.852 billion KRW in 78 cases of special adjustment grants over five rounds this year, including three incentives for excellent cities and counties in wildfire prevention measures, joint evaluations, and traffic administration evaluations.
Special adjustment grants are budgets provided by Gyeongsangnam-do to cover specific financial demands for implementing policies such as regional development projects of cities and counties.
The special adjustment grant projects secured by Jinju City this time include ▲ Yeongcheongang Riverside Waterside Space Creation Project (1.6 billion KRW) ▲ Rest Area Creation Project in the Retention Basin next to Jeongchon Yehacho Elementary School (50 million KRW) ▲ Munsan Sinchon Village Yeongcheongang Embankment Road Maintenance Construction (40 million KRW) ▲ Myeongseok Chudong Village Drainage Maintenance Project (40 million KRW) ▲ Micheon Gaesim Village Farm Road Maintenance Construction (35 million KRW) ▲ Geumsan Jungcheon Village Farm Road Paving Construction (35 million KRW), totaling 23 cases.
The Yeongcheongang Riverside Waterside Space Creation Project is a project to install insufficient waterside facilities such as rest areas and exercise equipment in the Yeongcheongang riverside area of Chungmugong-dong. Out of the total project cost of 1.9 billion KRW, 1.6 billion KRW of special adjustment grants were secured, giving momentum to the project promotion.
In addition, special adjustment grants are being supported for projects aimed at disaster prevention and improving residents' living conditions, which is expected to enhance residents' convenience and resolve inconveniences.

Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il said, “We have secured about 2.6 billion KRW in project funds for essential projects,” and added, “We will continue to work closely with Gyeongnam Province to promote local pending projects.”
