Seogwipo Fire Station Conducts Foam Water Spray Training at Waste Sanitary Landfill
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Seogwipo Fire Station of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province (Chief Kim Jihyung) announced on the 22nd that it conducted special vehicle operation and foam water spray training on the 21st at the waste sanitary landfill located in Saekdal-dong, Seogwipo City, to prepare for special fires such as ships and oil storage tanks.
The main training contents included checking the foam formation process by monitor nozzle, operating equipment and water spray training by foam-using vehicles (high-performance chemical vehicle, auxiliary vehicle), and firefighting training for actual fire scenarios, conducted as customized training considering the characteristics of fires in special locations.
Chief Kim Jihyung said, “We will thoroughly prepare for special fires by continuously conducting repetitive training for quick and efficient firefighting activities in case of special fire occurrences.”
