If a domestic player wins on the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour during the season, they can register for international tours. Accordingly, they can participate in three or more tournaments on the U.S. Tour, which overlaps with the Japanese Tour schedule. To encourage advancement to the LPGA Tour, the points awarded based on performance are set four times higher for winning a U.S. major tournament than for winning a JLPGA 3-round tournament.
