Seoul City Completes Quality Improvement of 340,000 Cadastral Preservation Documents
Old Land and Forest Registers Totaling 340,000 Sheets Colored
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 21st that it has completed the enhancement of 340,000 cadastral preservation documents by improving low-resolution, black-and-white data to high resolution. Cadastral preservation documents refer to land and forest registers that provide detailed information about land, as well as closed cadastral maps and forest maps used for boundary verification.
The city upgraded 150,000 low-quality documents that were difficult to identify last year and completed an additional reconstruction of 190,000 documents this year.
Through this improvement, documents that were previously below 150 dpi now have a resolution of 300 dpi, and black-and-white images have been converted to color, significantly enhancing readability. Unlike in the past when it was difficult to distinguish lot numbers and boundary lines due to low image quality, citizens will now be able to receive clearer color documents, greatly improving convenience.
