View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City, together with Gyeongbuk Province, will hold the "Korea Secondary Battery Industry Competitiveness Enhancement Forum" on the 22nd at the National Assembly Members' Office Building Grand Conference Room to diagnose the present and future of the secondary battery industry, receive policy advice from domestic experts, and understand battery industry trends.
Hosted by regional National Assembly members Kim Byung-wook and Kim Jung-jae, along with Han Mu-kyung, the secretary of the Industry, Trade, Small and Medium Venture Business Committee, this forum gathers related domestic institutions and field experts in one place to seek ways to strengthen and develop the competitiveness of Korea's next-generation core industry, the secondary battery industry, which is fiercely competing with major global countries for dominance in the global market.
On the day, presentations will be given on the topics "Advanced Strategic Industry Secondary Battery Development Plan" by Senior Researcher Jun-ho Song of the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, and "Domestic and International Electric Vehicle/Secondary Battery Material Industry Vision and Challenges" by Senior Researcher Jae-beom Park of POSCO Research Institute.
In the panel discussion, chaired by Kim Kwang-joo, CEO of SNE Research, participants including Seok-jun Park, CEO of EcoPro CNG, Professor Kyu-young Park of POSTECH, Young-joo Lee, Director of the Secondary Battery Comprehensive Management Center, Joo-hyun Lee, Head of Corporate Support Division at KIAT, and officials from the Ministry of Industry will engage in a heated discussion.
Through the "Secondary Battery Industry Competitiveness Enhancement Forum," Pohang City plans to derive various development plans for the secondary battery industry and unite efforts to secure Korea's leadership in the global market based on its ultra-competitive technology.
