Damyang-gun Receives Minister of Health and Welfare Award for 'Mobile Healthcare'
Selected as a National Excellence Institution in the Digital Healthcare Sector of the 2022 Health Promotion Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation at the 2022 Health Promotion Project Digital Healthcare Division Integrated Performance Competition for its 'Mobile Healthcare' project.
'Digital Healthcare' is a project that provides public health management services using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and supports the health management of local residents by utilizing portable information and communication devices in various fields. Damyang-gun was selected as an excellent institution based on the evaluation results and received the ministerial award.
The Mobile Healthcare project is a non-face-to-face service that provides health services such as nutrition, exercise, and health counseling through a smartphone app for six months by professional staff at public health centers composed of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and exercise specialists to people with chronic disease health risk factors, enabling customized health management anytime and anywhere.
As a result of the project, 74.1% of participants improved at least one health risk factor (blood pressure, abdominal circumference, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides), and the overall service satisfaction score was high at 92.6 points.
