Lunit Supplies AI Imaging Analysis Solution to Largest Hospital in South America

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Medical artificial intelligence (AI) company Lunit announced on the 19th that it has signed a software license agreement for its chest X-ray AI image analysis solution, 'Lunit Insight CXR,' with Albert Einstein Israelita Hospital located in S?o Paulo, Brazil.
Einstein Hospital is the largest hospital in South America, operating three general hospitals with over 600 beds, 10 satellite hospitals, and 24 outpatient clinics. Going forward, Lunit will supply Lunit Insight CXR to Einstein Hospital for the next three years until 2025. The hospital plans to use Lunit's AI solution to interpret approximately 40,000 chest X-ray medical images annually during patient examinations as well as in intensive care units and emergency rooms.
Lunit Insight CXR is an AI-based product that diagnoses 10 types of chest diseases, including lung cancer and pneumothorax, with an accuracy of 97-99%. Recently, it strengthened its product competitiveness by obtaining CE certification under the new European Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
Sidney Klajner, director of Einstein Hospital, said, "Lunit Insight CXR will be an excellent tool to support medical staff's decision-making," adding, "We will continue to provide high-quality medical services that meet patient needs by collaborating with Lunit, which possesses world-class technology."
