View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Dongwon Group announced on the 19th that Lee Myung-woo, Vice Chairman of Dongwon Industries' Business and Holding Division, has been appointed as the President of the University of Pennsylvania Korean Alumni Association.
Vice Chairman Lee will serve as the President of the UPenn Korean Alumni Association for two years until December 2024. He earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Afterwards, he served as the head of Samsung Electronics' U.S. home appliances division, CEO of Sony Korea, and chairman of the POSCO board of directors.

Since 2014, Vice Chairman Lee has been the CEO of Dongwon Industries and has also been an inaugural member of the global forum 'SeaBOS (Seafood Business for Ocean Stewardship),' which discusses the protection of marine food resources and ecosystems. Through this, he is recognized for leading sustainable management in the international seafood industry.
