Mr. Lee Yundo of Gyeongsan Selected as Master Agricultural Technician in Fruit Farming... 29 Years of Peach Cultivation in Namsan-myeon
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] Gyeongsan City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 16th that Lee Yoon-do (61), CEO of Gyeongbok Seedling Farm, received an award in the fruit tree category at the Korea's Best Agricultural Technology Master Awards ceremony held at the Rural Development Administration.
The Korea's Best Agricultural Technology Master, hosted by the Rural Development Administration, is a system that selects the top-level agricultural technicians who have contributed to the development of agriculture and rural areas. Since 2009, one person has been selected in each category of food crops, vegetables, fruit trees, special crops, and livestock.
CEO Lee of Gyeongbok Seedling Farm cultivates about 10,000 pyeong of peaches in Namsan-myeon, Gyeongsan City, and serves as an honorary researcher at the Gyeongbuk Agricultural Technology Institute and a member of the Regional Specialized Crop Research Group. With 29 years of experience in peach farming, he has developed 16 peach varieties using crossbreeding techniques utilizing peach pollen.
Lee has lectured on peach breeding technology he personally developed at the Kyungpook National University Agricultural Startup Specialization Project Group and the Gyeongbuk Farmers' Academy, and he conducts training on pruning, tree shape management, and fruit thinning management to improve the quality of Gyeongsan peaches.
