On the 15th (Korean time), major foreign media including the AP reported that a cold is spreading in the French team camp, affecting at least three players.
According to France's coach Didier Deschamps, defender Dayo Upamecano (FC Bayern Munich) and midfielder Adrien Rabiot (Juventus) showed flu symptoms and were quarantined, missing the semi-final match against Morocco. Backup winger Kingsley Coman (FC Bayern Munich) is also reported to have a high fever. Coach Deschamps explained, "Upamecano especially had a very tough three days."

Coach Deschamps stated that there should be no problem with the players participating in the final. He said, "The temperature has recently dropped, so we must always be cautious," and added, "We are really not worried about the cold."
