The Ministry of Education announced that it sent an urgent official letter to city and provincial education offices and other educational institutions to prevent safety accidents.
Each city and provincial education office and school plans to consider adjusting school hours or temporary closures depending on weather conditions.
The Ministry of Education requested educational institutions such as education offices and schools to check weather conditions like heavy snow and cold waves and verify emergency contact networks with related organizations to prevent safety accidents.
Additionally, it urged the inspection of vulnerable facilities, removal of risk factors, prohibition of access to facilities expected to suffer damage, and strengthening of safety management on the way to and from school.
