Yuhan-Kimberly Adopting Smart Work Selected as 'Top Family-Friendly Company' by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Yuhan-Kimberly announced on the 15th that it has been selected as the ‘Best Family-Friendly Company’ designated by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
Yuhan-Kimberly has been continuously maintaining the family-friendly certification, awarded by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to companies leading the creation of family-friendly cultures such as support for pregnancy and childbirth, child-rearing, and flexible work, since 2008.
The company explained that through smart work, it supports employees to achieve work-life balance while being immersed in a horizontal and creative corporate culture. Since the 1990s, Yuhan-Kimberly has provided employees with flexible time and learning opportunities, including 4-shift 2-team systems, staggered commuting hours, and on-site attendance systems. In particular, it eliminated fixed individual seats including executive offices, created flexible seats accounting for 80% of the total number of employees, and converted the remaining 20% into shared spaces.
Currently, Yuhan-Kimberly operates a hybrid work system with 3 days of offline attendance and 2 days of remote work. To enhance individuals’ quality of life and enable enjoyable immersion, it implements a recharge leave every other Friday.
