Gyeongnam Provincial Council Approves Original Proposal to Abolish Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Special Union Charter
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the 14th, the Gyeongnam Provincial Council reviewed the proposal to abolish the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Special Union agreement submitted by Gyeongnam Province.
The Planning and Administration Committee, a standing committee of the Provincial Council, began reviewing the abolition proposal around 11 a.m. that day.
Although criticism was raised by several members, including Democratic Party lawmaker Han Sang-hyun, regarding the lack of sufficient public opinion gathering before abolishing the agreement, the abolition proposal was approved as originally planned without objections after questions and discussions.
Subsequently, the Provincial Council plans to pass the resolution at the 5th plenary session of the 400th regular meeting, the last session of this year, on the 15th.
