The foundation announced on the 14th that from April to November this year, it conducted training for 1,680 people at 32 private training institutions across 13 cities and counties, with 1,558 completing the courses, and among them, 765 succeeded in gaining employment.
Considering the severe labor shortage and the demand for recruitment and job seeking at construction sites, the foundation has been conducting dual training programs to efficiently cultivate skilled construction workers through both foundation-operated courses and outsourced courses via private training institutions.
Chae I-bae, CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "The foundation has been striving to gradually resolve issues such as the imbalance between recruitment and job-seeking demand at construction sites, the increase in safety accidents, and the growing social demand for cultivating skilled construction workers. We will closely monitor the job demand at construction sites and continue to focus on nurturing skilled construction personnel and strengthening expertise in construction jobs."
Meanwhile, on the afternoon of the 12th, the foundation held a meeting with representatives from training institutions participating in the skilled construction workforce training and employment support project at the Suwon Convention Center.
