Kim Young-chan, chairman of Golfzon Nwdin Group (photo), is gaining attention for his philanthropic activities. On the 14th, Chairman Kim and his family donated 60 million won from the ‘Neighbor Love Birdie Fund,’ which was accumulated whenever a birdie or better score was recorded during a year of golf rounds, to the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea. The cumulative donations have exceeded 150 million won, including 52 million won in 2020 and 46 million won in 2021.
The Neighbor Love Birdie Fund is used through the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea to purchase 75,000 briquettes. These briquettes are delivered to 250 energy-vulnerable households to help them have a warm winter. Chairman Kim said, "I am pleased that the small sincerity prepared through the Birdie Fund can bring warmth to the local community," and added, "We will continue to strive to spread a culture of sharing through ongoing donation activities."
Since 2020, Golfzon Nwdin Group has been donating 500 million won annually to the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea as Neighbor Love donations. In December last year, it became the first company in the Daejeon area to join as a Gold Member of the Sharing Excellence Company. Additionally, since 2010, it has participated in the Yuseong-gu Love Kimchi Sharing campaign, supporting vulnerable groups in the community to have a healthy winter.
