Emart24 Signs MOU with Super Kitchen to Expand 'Home Meal' Menu

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Emart24 announced on the 13th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Supermakers (Superkitchen), which operates the fresh side dish platform ‘Superkitchen’.
Through this MOU, Emart24 and Superkitchen have agreed to join forces to lead a new home meal culture by providing healthy meal menus that can be enjoyed within 5 minutes through convenience stores.
The signing ceremony was held at 3 p.m. the previous day in the Emart24 conference room in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, attended by Choi Eun-yong, Executive Director in charge of MD at Emart24, Lee Sung-min, General Manager of the Strategic Planning Team, Lee Jin-ho, CEO of Supermakers, and Jung In-soo. Through this agreement, Emart24 plans to collaborate with Superkitchen, which has excellent side dish manufacturing know-how and infrastructure, to develop various home meal menu products and actively carry out marketing.
Superkitchen directly operates the manufacturing, sales, and distribution of side dishes and cooked products using quality ingredients and its own recipes, and sells mainly through about 70 offline directly managed stores.
Emart24 expects to develop products optimized for convenience stores by utilizing the accumulated know-how and data from Superkitchen’s unique menu development, production, and sales experience, and to gain strong customer response by selling convenient and delicious home meals at easily accessible convenience stores.
Starting with this MOU, Emart24 plans to develop the optimal menus and packaging that convenience store customers will continuously seek through various tests in the future.
