KB Kookmin Bank Develops Korea's First VR Banking Technology
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 9th that it has developed the country's first virtual reality (VR) banking technology.
VR banking technology allows users to access financial services in a 3D virtual environment, and KB Kookmin Bank is preparing to file domestic and international patents.
By logging into the mobile VR app and wearing the equipment, users can check account balances and make transfers within the VR environment. Secure login is possible through a financial certificate, enabling convenient access to financial services anytime and anywhere with just a smartphone and VR device.
Yoon Jin-su, Vice President of KB Kookmin Bank's Tech Group, said, "VR banking is a technology with high potential as a new non-face-to-face channel in the future financial market," adding, "We will strive to further advance the currently developed VR technology to provide an innovative financial experience."
