Samsung Heavy Industries Appoints Lee Wang-geun and Jang Hae-gi as New Vice Presidents
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Samsung Heavy Industries has appointed Lee Wang-geun as the new Vice President in charge of the marine industry, and Jang Hae-gi as the Vice President in charge of ship design.
On the 9th, Samsung Heavy Industries conducted personnel appointments including two Vice Presidents and five Managing Directors, totaling seven people, through the '2023 Regular Executive Personnel Appointment.'
This personnel appointment was made based on the principle of meritocracy, selecting talent in technical fields that lead business competitiveness enhancement and the company's future growth, based on expertise and leadership.
Samsung Heavy Industries had previously promoted Choi Sung-an, CEO of Samsung Engineering, to the new Vice Chairman. The regular organizational restructuring and position appointments will be finalized and announced soon.
