Gmarket-Coway Donates Support Funds for Vulnerable Children to Green Umbrella Child Fund

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Gmarket announced on the 9th that it has donated 69.65 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation in collaboration with Coway to support children from vulnerable groups. This fund will be used to support learning expenses, childcare costs, and medical expenses for children in vulnerable groups.
The donation ceremony held the day before at the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Park Hyuk, Team Leader of Gmarket Subscription and Rental Service Team, and Jo Jesuk, Team Leader of Coway Online Business Team.
The funds for this donation ceremony were raised through the “Rental Donation Project” conducted three times in January, May, and September by Gmarket and Auction in partnership with Coway. The project involved donating 30,000 KRW per rental of Coway products.

Lee Young-eun, Manager of Gmarket Subscription and Rental Service Team, said, “Thanks to many customers of Gmarket and Auction who showed interest and participated in supporting children from vulnerable groups, we were able to easily achieve our target donation amount. We will strive to expand sharing through shopping and encourage customer participation who want to practice value consumption by closely collaborating with our partners.”
