At the meeting, Mayor Hong presented awards to outstanding advisory members of the 20th term National Unification Advisory Council Changwon City Council.
During the meeting, a resolution rally was held to support the selection of Changwon City as the final candidate site for the construction of the Police Hospital branch (2 centers, 23 medical departments, 550 beds). The advisory members attending the meeting shouted slogans wishing for the attraction of the Police Hospital branch, emphasizing the justification for Changwon City's selection based on the provision of balanced regional public medical services, a well-connected transportation network, and the nearby police and fire personnel.
Following this, there was a heated discussion among the advisory members of the Changwon City Council to prepare measures for crisis management on the Korean Peninsula and North Korea engagement in line with the government's peace and unification policy of "realizing a denuclearized, peaceful, and prosperous Korean Peninsula."
Chairman Kang Jeong-jong of the council said, “The Changwon City Council will also carry out various unification movements for the realization of sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula and work together with advisory members to expand the consensus on unification.”
