Naju-si Wins 'Excellence Award' at Public Health Care Performance Conference
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] The Naju Public Health Center in Jeollanam-do received an award for excellence at the 2022 Jeollanam-do Public Health Care Performance Conference, thanks to the achievements of the ‘Life Love Project with Village and Neighborhood Leaders’.
According to the city on the 8th, the Public Health Care Performance Conference recently held at the Mokpo Fontana Beach Hotel was hosted by Jeollanam-do and organized by the Jeollanam-do Public Health Care Support Group.
The event was attended by about 100 officials from Jeollanam-do, city and county public health centers, and public medical institutions, aiming to evaluate the public health care project achievements of 22 cities and counties in the province, award outstanding cases, and seek improved project directions through sharing best practices.
The evaluation involved a first round of document screening of excellent cases submitted by city and county public health centers and public medical institutions, selecting four final teams who competed through presentations.
The Naju Public Health Center presented the suicide prevention project ‘Spread the Song~ Resonate the Life’ with village and neighborhood leaders and won the excellence award.
This project broadcasts the Life Love logo song through ‘portable radios’ distributed to 627 villages, contributing to the spread of a community culture that respects life through cooperation with village and neighborhood leaders trained as life guardians.
The Naju Public Health Center celebrated a double honor, following its grand prize win at the ‘2022 Life Love Logo Song Dance Challenge Contest’ hosted by Jeollanam-do last October and now receiving the excellence award at this public health care performance conference.
Seo Hyunseung, head of the public health center, said, “Through the radios distributed to 627 villages, we raised awareness of the preciousness of life and promoted residents’ mental health,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to discover high-risk groups for mental health and spread a culture that respects life through public-private cooperation.”
