[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Entertainment agency YG Entertainment is holding an open audition to discover the next generation of new talent.
On the 7th, YG Entertainment announced that it will hold the '2023 YG National Audition Tour' from January 7 to February 12 next year.
This open audition will be held face-to-face for the first time in four years since 2019. YG will conduct six rounds of auditions in five major cities nationwide, starting with Daejeon, followed by Daegu, Gwangju, Busan, and Seoul.
The recruitment target is domestic residents born between 2004 and 2012, regardless of gender or nationality. However, applicants must not have any contractual relationship with an agency, and they can choose the one field they are most confident in among vocal, rap, dance, and visual.
Applications are possible both in advance and on-site. Advance registration closes five days before the audition date in each region, and on-site registration is available until 2 PM on the day of the audition. Detailed information can be found on YG's official blog and SNS.
YG has led the K-pop wave by producing global artists such as Big Bang, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, and TREASURE.
