Patent Office Commissioner Lee In-sil Selected as One of the 'Top 50 Influential Figures in Intellectual Property'

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Lee In-sil, Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), has been named one of "The 50 most influential people in IP 2022" by Managing IP.
According to KIPO on the 7th, Managing IP is a specialized intellectual property media outlet established in 1990, primarily read by intellectual property experts such as in-house lawyers and patent attorneys of multinational corporations worldwide.
The list of the 50 most influential people has been selected since 2003. The selection process is conducted annually based on major issues and influence in the intellectual property field, through expert recommendations and consultations.
Commissioner Lee was selected as one of the 50 most influential people for the second time, following former KIPO Commissioner Jeon Sang-woo in 2007.
Managing IP included Commissioner Lee in the list based on his remarkable achievements in a short period since his inauguration last May, such as actively engaging in international cooperation activities including signing the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) with France and a comprehensive cooperation memorandum of understanding with the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Lee is an expert with over 30 years of experience in the intellectual property field and has been noted as the first civilian and the first female commissioner since the establishment of KIPO.
