Gwangyang City Provides 'Gwangyang Love Gift Certificates' to Affordable Price Businesses
400,000 Won Awarded to Businesses Contributing to Price Stability with Reasonable Prices and Quality Service
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gwangyang City, Jeonnam, announced that it will provide 'Gwangyang Love Gift Certificates worth 400,000 KRW' to good price businesses that contribute to price stabilization by offering affordable prices and friendly services.
Good price businesses refer to establishments that provide high-quality services at affordable prices through efficient management, and while being designated and managed by local governments, they receive various benefits.
On April 22 of this year, the city accepted applications for good price businesses through a notice on the city website, and after reviewing based on criteria such as price, hygiene and cleanliness, and public interest, selected 46 businesses on August 1. To support incentives for good price businesses, the city increased the supplementary budget by 9.4 million KRW in the 4th supplementary budget on November 23, 2022, providing a total of 18.4 million KRW.
The Gwangyang Love Gift Certificates will be distributed from December 12 to 16 at the Regional Economy Division office in City Hall, and recipients must bring their resident registration card to receive them.
The good price businesses selected this year will receive various benefits such as certificates and badges, subsidies for purchasing equipment, additional points when applying for small business facility improvement projects, priority support for small business loan interest subsidies and guarantees, and promotion through the city website or SNS to ensure many citizens are aware of them.
Jung Yong-gyun, head of the Regional Economy Division, said, “We deeply thank the representatives of good price businesses who contributed to price stabilization by providing reasonable prices and high-quality services despite the high inflation situation.”
He added, “We hope they continue to demonstrate exemplary practices such as developing low-priced menus, maintaining good prices, ensuring citizen satisfaction, and hygiene and cleanliness. We will also strive to expand support for good price businesses and promote a price stabilization atmosphere.”
