Bank of Korea Selects Winners of Youth Economic Awareness UCC Contest
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The Bank of Korea announced on the 6th that it held the 'Youth Economic Awareness UCC (User Created Content) Contest' and selected 8 winning works, including 1 Grand Prize, 3 Excellence Awards, and 4 Encouragement Awards.
This contest was held for the fourth time following 2018-2019 and last year, with the theme 'Inflation and Our Economy.' A total of 69 entries (213 participants) were submitted from September 5 to October 28.
The Grand Prize was awarded to the team of Seo Myeong-won, Jeong Yong-hwan, Kim Du-young, and Lee Han-jin for their work titled "Economics Told by Science High School Students," which explained various causes of inflation through examples.

The Bank of Korea plans to award the Grand Prize winners with a certificate of commendation signed by the Governor of the Bank of Korea and a prize money of 3 million KRW, while the Excellence and Encouragement Award winners will receive prize money (1.5 million KRW each for Excellence Awards, 1 million KRW each for Encouragement Awards). The winning works will be made public on the Bank of Korea’s website and social media channels.
