[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] Japan and Croatia drew 1-1 after extra time in the Round of 16 match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, proceeding to a penalty shootout.
Japan and Croatia each scored one goal in the first and second halves respectively during the Round of 16 match held at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah, Qatar, at midnight on the 6th (Korean time).
Japan scored the opening goal. At the 43rd minute of the first half, Maeda Daizen scored in a chaotic situation in front of the goal following a cross. Yoshida Maya provided the assist.
