Korean Women's Handball Advances to Asian Championship Final... Faces Japan

On the 2nd, the Korean team won decisively against China 34-16 in the semifinals held on the 6th day of the tournament at the SK Handball Stadium in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Having won five consecutive championships since 2012, South Korea will face Japan in the final to be held at the same venue on the 4th.
Japan defeated Iran 43-19 in the earlier semifinal match.
Earlier this September, South Korea faced Japan twice in regular matches, winning both games 25-19 and 23-19.
Song Hye-su (Gwangju City Corporation), who scored 5 goals and made 2 assists against China, was selected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.

The top five teams in this tournament will earn spots for the 2023 World Championship. These spots will be awarded to the four semifinalists and the winner of the 5th-6th place match between Kazakhstan and India, held on the 4th.
