Yeosu-si to Implement 'Contactless Contract Services' Starting Next Year
Contract Work Possible Without City Hall Visit... Reducing Time and Economic Costs for Contracting Parties
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] Jeonnam Yeosu City (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that starting January 1 next year, it will provide a 'non-face-to-face contract service' to resolve the inconvenience of contract work mainly conducted face-to-face.
To this end, the city conducted the first job training session on 'paperless non-face-to-face contract service' on the 30th of last month for contract (accounting) officers and supervising officials of business departments.
Until now, contract work required submitting paper contract documents from the contracting party, causing inconvenience as it required visiting administrative agencies with time and cost.
Accordingly, Yeosu City plans to link the internal financial system (e-Hojo) by utilizing the Public Procurement Service's 'Nara Market' and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's electronic government system 'Document24', processing everything from bidding to contract, inspection, and payment in an integrated manner.
In particular, through 'Document24', submission of commencement reports, progress (completion) inspectors, and completion reports will be received, enabling the provision of paperless non-face-to-face contract services.
The non-face-to-face contract service will be implemented from January 1 next year at the city hall, including the first branch offices (Health Center, Agricultural Technology Center, Water and Sewage Business Unit), and eup/myeon/dong offices.
To stabilize system use, the existing contract method will be temporarily operated in parallel until June, and full implementation is scheduled from July 1.
A city official said, "By providing the non-face-to-face contract service, it is expected to save costs and time for contracting parties and improve work efficiency as there will be no need to store paper documents."
