Prosecutors Request Passport Cancellation for Kim Bong-hyun's Older Sister Who Aided the 'Lime Scandal' Mastermind's Escape
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] The prosecution has requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to invalidate the passport of Kim Mo (50), the elder sister who helped former Star Mobility Chairman Kim Bong-hyun escape, in order to pressure her return to the country.
According to the prosecution on the 1st, the Criminal Division 6 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Jun-dong) took this measure to secure custody by obtaining an arrest warrant for Kim on charges of aiding and abetting a fugitive the day before. It is known that Kim has been residing in the United States for a long time while working at hospitals and is attempting to acquire citizenship.
The prosecution expects that if Kim returns to the country, they will be able to execute the arrest warrant and secure clues to track the whereabouts of former Chairman Kim.
