Gwangju Dong-gu, 6th Rice Donation by Anonymous Angel Warms Hearts
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 1st that an 'anonymous donation angel,' who has continuously shared for the underprivileged in the district, delivered 200 bags of 20kg rice (worth about 10 million KRW) on the 30th of last month to mark the end of the year.
The donor, who has continued to practice sharing with a note saying "I want to help the neighbors in care in Dong-gu," has delivered a total of 900 bags of 20kg rice to Dong-gu through a rice mill located in Yeonggwang, Jeonnam, over six occasions from last year to recently, giving a warm impression to the local community.
Dong-gu plans to process the received rice as designated donations through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea and deliver it to neighbors in care who are in blind spots of welfare and social welfare facilities in the district.
